Chimneys and Flues

Fires & Flues source and install a range of wood burning stoves and fireplaces, but our service goes above and beyond the fireplace to include chimney and flue liner installation.
Chimney Installation
We can build chimneys to complement your existing structure, as well as offering a re-pointing service for existing chimneys.
With all chimneys we strongly recommend that a flue is lined whenever a stove is to be installed. Indeed, we will not install a stove into an unlined flue. A lined, insulated flue not only ensures the maximum efficiency and performance from your stove but also protects your chimney from tar build-up and possible subsequent chimney fires.
Flue Pipe and Flue Lining
We stock a complete range of flue pipe to suit your chimney’s needs. Our 1mm stainless steel flue pipes work well with multifuel stoves and we also use two grades of flexible stainless steel liner – 316g and 904g.
Independent Flue Systems
If your house doesn’t have a chimney we can also offer a solution here. We supply independent flue systems that are suitable for use with multifuel stoves.
Our years of experience installing these systems are invaluable when advising our customers on their installations.
Pots and Cowls
To cap your chimney off we also have a range of chimney pots and cowls available for all sorts of chimney problems, including:
- Rook guards
- Bird cowls
- Rain caps
- Anti-downdraught cowls
We can source these pots and cowls and fit them onto your chimney.
